This is based on the book, ‘The Privileged Planet’ by Guillermo Gonzalez and Jay W. Richards, and is a detailed explanation of the idea that the universe is finely tuned for life (the Anthropic principle). It covers a whole range of arguments, including some new ideas about our ability to study the universe from the vantage point of Earth. This documentary was very professionally produced, using lots of archive footage and computer graphics, and is narrated by John Rhys Davies (Lord of the Rings) Although now ageing a bit, it is still worth using to explore the anthropic principle.
