Down to Earth

Martin Bott combined a love of mountaineering and physics to become a geophysicist, and experienced the discovery of plate tectonics (the movement of the earth's crust) in the 1960s. A near-disaster on an expedition in Spitzbergen and a university Christian Union event both contributed to his finding personal faith. As a geophysicist Martin has had to think about how the Bible and science speak to each other, seeking the truth in both spheres.
